Stand Up Paddle in Rivers and Lakes
I have, from a reliable source, that the latest video from EnviroAction Productions titled RiverSUP will be released soon. The video features the first River Stand Up Paddle Comp at the West Glenwood Springs wave, some amazing riding and river stand up paddle instruction. Locations include for Slaughter House Falls on the Roaring Fork, Shoshone on the Colorado and West Glenwood Springs
Stand Up Paddle has been talking off all around the world as a great source of exercise and a new way to enjoy ocean surf. I only recently started to see it in Hawaii perhaps 7 years ago, but it has been practiced for many years as Hawaiian tradition.
As the equipment becomes more refined and word of mouth spreads, it now seems to be everywhere. Some Colorado locals thought a river would be a good place to try and a new version of the sport was born.

A good series for the uninitiated to the hammer-head adventure addict. Their tag line, Cure your ADD… Adventure Deficit Disorder… is spot on. I had the pleasure of suffering 18 Hours in Buena Vista last year. A great race, planned well and very challenging.
